about
I wrote and recorded this raw acoustic version of the song all in one day. It's about my reflection on making the most of Advent by taking the time to get away from the busy activities that so often surround this season. I hope you enjoy hearing it as much as I enjoyed writing it!
lyrics
Verse 1:
The mess can wait and the chaos left
The stillness beckons now
So come with Me and get some rest
Come by yourself to a quiet place now
Verse 2:
See the door, don’t be afraid to enter
On the other side is the journey of longing
Feel full and simply be in His presence
This silence isn’t void of a story
Verse 3:
Head for the centre where stillness remains in the midst
of the rotating hubbub of the season
Plunge to the depths where the crashing of the waves & the winds
Have no impact at the bottom
Verse 4:
Remember darling peace is not found at the end
of the eternal Road of Completion
Peace dwells with the pilgrim in the Adventure
Scribed by the Author of Creation
End:
The mess can wait and the chaos left
The stillness beckons now
